trauma bone is a blunt collection of 17 poems detailing the impact adolescent trauma has on a victim's health later in life. jem zero, a disabled queer person, goes into wretched detail about their experience with mental illness, emotional instability, poor self-esteem, and physical disability after an abusive upbringing. this healing journey peels off scabs that cover queerness, rebellion, special interests, and interpersonal conflicts, exposing the reader to the icky stuff within.
